Musical Imagination: Ukulele Class

Join us as we dive into the world of ukuleles during this six week class. Learn basic strumming, chord patterns, and a variety of simple songs as we explore creating music together. Each participant will create a songbook to take home. Class meets 4-5pm Thursdays for six weeks: 9/21-10/26.

$90/members, $120/visitors. Register online, call (207) 828-1234, or stop by the front desk. Each participant will need a soprano ukulele for the duration of the class. Please contact lily@kitetails.org for questions about instruments. Recommended for ages 4-10.

Squid Dissection

Did you know squid crush their food with bird-like beaks and have a gland full of ink they spray when scared? Join us to learn all about squid--inside and out--in this hands-on dissection workshop! We'll compare the squid's body to our own bodies, discover how sea creatures live their lives underwater, and create sketches of our dissection to take home.

Screen Printing Workshop: DIY Canvas Bag

Explore the process of screen printing during this messy and hands-on workshop. Create a design using pre-cut shapes and screen print your design onto a canvas bag. The perfect workshop to get ready for autumn library trips, after-school activities or adventures at the Farmers' Market.
