Make a Flying Broomstick

Being a Witch in Oz means you need to get places FAST! And what better way than a broomstick? Create your very own broomstick, decide if you're a Good Witch or feeling a little wicked, and meet one of our actors from our summer play: Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz! Paint designs with glue, glitter, and stars onto natural wood broomsticks. Each broomstick measures approximately four feet.

Create your very own bubble wand like the one used by Glenda the Good Witch in our production of Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz! Experiment with different bubble solutions to see what makes the best bubbles and make a unique bubble wand to help Dorothy and her friends reach the Emerald City! Before we can help her, the question is: Are you a Good Witch or a Bad Witch?

Did you know squid crush their food with bird-like beaks and have a gland full of ink they spray when scared? Join us to learn all about squid--inside and out--in this hands-on dissection workshop! We'll compare the squid's body to our own bodies, discover how sea creatures live their lives underwater, and create sketches of our dissection to take home. Suggested for ages 4 and up.

DIY Twinkle Lights

Design and create your own unique set of twinkle lights to hang in your room or brighten a summer garden party! Add beads, fabric, and tissue paper to each light to transform your string into fireflies, a colorful party decoration, a night light, and more while we listen to music and summer stories.
