at least 6 eggshells
1 tsp very hot water
flour
food coloring
Wash the eggshells so there is no longer egg on them! Dry them and grind them into a fine powder. Maybe your house has a mortor and pestle for grinding, or you can use a rock on a hard, smooth surface. About 6 egg shells per stick of chalk.
Sift or pick out the big pieces of eggshell that are not ground up. Put the powder into a cup.
Add a teaspoon of hot water and stir the shell powder until it makes a paste. Add food coloring or paint if you like color!
Shape this mixture into a chalk stick. Now roll it in a strip of paper towel and let it dry. This may take up to three days. Peel the paper off and you're ready for some chalk art!
