Entertaining at the Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine offers festive facilities and fun for all ages! The Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine offers a unique, playful setting for your next corporate function, meeting, celebration or event.

Spanning four floors, the Museum & Theatre offers a total capacity of approximately 600. Several smaller areas are ideal for parties of 100 or less. On the Lower Level, a fully equipped kitchen is perfect for caterers. The Museum's back deck overlooks the Shipyard, complete with kid-sized pirate ship, ideal for a warm weather party.

LOWER LEVEL
Dress Up Theater
Can be used as multi-purpose room and features a small stage and lighting. Total Square Feet: apx 650
Capacity: apx 50 People

Cafe
Play diner and also real kitchen available. Round cafe style tables. Can be opened into dress-up theater for more space.
Total Square Feet: apx 504
Capacity: apx 45 People, depending on layout

Birthday Room
Birthday Room is close to kitchen, small sink in room.

Capacity: apx 30 People

FIRST FLOOR and SHIPYARD
Big Gallery
Large space with big windows. Features Our Town exhibits and rotating exhibits in Big Gallery. Large glass doors can be opened to access back deck and Shipyard.
Total Square Feet: approx 1800
Capacity: approx 180 People

The Shipyard
Outdoor area features a raised deck, kid-size pirate ship and picnic tables. First Floor Big Gallery has large glass doors that open onto deck. Great for warm weather cocktail party.

EXPLORE FLOOR
Explore Some More
2nd Floor Craft/Classroom Space with small sink. Plenty of room for projects or event prep, access to stairwell.

2nd floor learning space. Large mural of Maine woods and related decor. Great for meetings or a buffet/bar station for second floor parties.

This Explore Floor level features our We Are Maine multicultural exhibit, and well as exhibits about the Maine coast and woods. Overlooks first floor Big Gallery.
