Andrew Sawyer plays Felix la Mer
Well, folks, he said he'd be back, and here he is. Andrew last took to the stage in this winter's CMTM production of Pete the Cat. You may recognize him as Gus the Platypus, Dad, Barnaby, or even the shark. Talk about foreshadowing! Since his last show here, Andrew has been adamant about returning to perform at the children's theater, and it looks like his relentless pestering finally paid off. He is so very excited to once again be invited to play his small part in this wonderful organization. Andrew greatly encourages you to forget about adulting for a while and ride the tides of this kooky, kooky show for a bit. He still has 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 8 chickens.
Ciara Neidlinger plays Fifi la Mer
Ciara (KEER-uh) (she/her) is a Maine native with a degree in Theatre from The University of Southern Maine. She is currently the Artist Services and Production Coordinator for the Portland local non-profit Portland Ovations. Maddy's Theatre has a special place in Ciara's heart as the place where she discovered her love for theater education and working with young imaginations. Recently, Ciara has directed and produced Tuck Everlasting: TYA Edition and Xanadu Jr. at Gorham Middle School. Previous credits include; Wolfgang u/s in Red Riding Hood (Maddy's Theatre), Grandma Tzeitel, Golde u/s in Fiddler on the Roof (Rochester Opera House), and Ursula/Ensemble in The Sound of Music & Ogra in Jack & the Beanstalk (Maine State Music Theater). She wants audiences to remember to share your fish food, keep exploring, whenever you don't know what to do... START SINGING!
Allison McCall - Puppeteer
Allison (she/her) is a local theatre artist, puppet enthusiast, shark enthusiast, and a member of the Maddy’s Theatre Team. As luck would have it, she shares a birthday with Puppeteer Extraordinaire and inspiration, Jim Henson. Her professional puppetry experience spans from sock puppets to 10’ Carnival/Body puppets, and almost every form in between – which is a very fun thing to say. Previous mainstage appearances with Maddy’s Theatre include Charlotte in Charlotte’s Web and the accidental understudy for Corduroy in Corduroy. Allison is a proud member of Mad Horse Theatre Co., where she is also the current Artistic Director. Some of her favorite theatre pieces (for grown-ups!) are presented through puppetry, which include Ubu and the Truth Commission by Jane Taylor & William Kentridge, The Drums on the Dam by Hélèn Cixous & Ariane Mnouchkine (Théâtre du Soleil, Paris), and War Horse (designed by Handspring Puppets of South Africa for the National Theatre, London). Allison has a miniature schnauzer named Ichobod, whom she loves very much. If she could be any sea creature, it would be a sea cucumber (also her best dance move).
Kristen Seavey – Stage Manager
Kristen (she/her) is excited to be back for her fourth Maddy's Theatre production. Previous CMTM stage managing credits include Red Riding Hood, Winnie-the-Pooh, and Pete the Cat. She holds a degree in Music Education and Euphonium Performance from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and has taught music, art, and theater for over 12 years. Her favorite underwater sea creature is the seahorse!
Emily M. Dixon – Production Manager & Props Design
Emily is thrilled to be starting the fifth season in Maddy's Theatre. Favorite recent credits include directing SpongeBob the Musical (2025, Lyric Music Theatre), light designing Elephant & Piggie (2024, CMTM), directing Gruff (2022, CMTM) and directing Dragons Love Tacos (2021, CMTM). Outside of her work with Maddy's Theatre, Emily loves to sing karaoke, write fiction novels, and spend time in the garden with her growing family.
Ryan McGowan – Sound Design
Ryan is a musician, audio engineer, and sound designer. He has done sound design and music for productions at Portland Players, The Theater Project, Maddy’s Theater, Mad Horse Theatre Company and Portland Museum of Art.
Danny Gay – Lighting Design
Danny (he/him/his) is a theater artist residing in Monmouth, ME. He has been fortunate to both act and design with Maddy's Theatre at CMTM. He is super excited to be joining this incredible production team as the lighting and set designer. This has been an amazing opportunity to be creative and think outside of the box. He also hopes that the idea that you can be unabashedly yourself resonates with our audience. You have permission to be the you-est you that you can be! In addition to working with CMTM, Danny is the current Education Director for the Monmouth Community Players as well as their Artistic Director. His favorite sea creature is the immortal jellyfish. He hopes that you enjoy the show!
Phoebe Little – Costume Design
Phoebe (she/her) got her start in costume design while working on the Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine's 2012 production of Sleeping Beauty. In the years since then, she's designed and sewn costumes for numerous theaters across Maine and Massachusetts, including Mad Horse Theatre, Smith College's Department of Theater, Pioneer Valley Ballet, and Maddy's Theatre. Some recent favorite productions include POTUS (Mad Horse), Charlotte’s Web (Maddy’s Theatre), Nieve en la jungla/ Snow in the Jungle (Maddy’s Theatre), and A Year with Frog and Toad (Maddy’s Theatre). Outside of the theater, she works as a nonprofit communications specialist. You can see more of her work at phoebelittle.com
