Theatre on the Go: Bringing Stories to Life in Your Community
The Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine is hitting the road with Theatre on the Go, bringing the joy and magic of children’s theatre to schools, community centers, libraries, arts venues, and theater spaces across Maine and New England.
From classrooms to gymnasiums, cafetoriums to outdoor stages—we’re ready to transform any space into a stage!
Why Live Theatre Matters in Schools and Communities
Live theatre opens hearts, sparks imagination, and brings people together. For children, it’s more than a performance—it’s an opportunity to:
Build empathy through storytelling
Strengthen language and listening skills
Explore emotions and social dynamics
Feel seen, heard, and valued
Discover creativity, confidence, and joy
When students experience live theatre together, they build shared memories that enrich classroom learning and deepen community connection.
