After Dark: Halloween - CANCELLED

  • The Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine 250 Thompsons Point Rd Portland, ME, 04102 United States (map)

ATTENTION VISITORS:

UPDATE AS OF 10/26/23: CANCELLED

In light of the recent tragedy that unfolded in Lewiston, Maine, last night, and in consideration of the ongoing search for the suspect, CMTM has made the heartfelt and difficult decision to cancel After Dark: Halloween tomorrow, Friday, October 27.

This decision was not made lightly, as countless individuals, companies, and significant time and effort have been invested in making tomorrow's event a memorable and festive occasion. Nevertheless, After Dark has always been envisioned as a joyous community celebration intended for adults (kids at heart) to revel in the enchantment of childhood. Given the sad circumstances surrounding our community at this time, it does not feel appropriate or celebratory to proceed with the event. We believe it is more fitting to direct our efforts toward supporting our community's children during these challenging times.

Thank you to our incredible After Dark: Halloween sponsors, special guests, and vendors for their support. We look forward to our February Love: After Dark and all the fun we will have together.

Get ready for HOWLING HALLOWEEN FUN at the Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine! You're invited to After Dark: Halloween, CMTM's night-time event and boo-bash, just for adults. Visitors will enjoy a Halloween-themed evening of costumes, elixirs, activities, and more at CMTM's annual evening out for kids-at-heart. * 21+ event.

Back by popular demand, the Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine is excited to present After Dark at the Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine, a night-time series JUST for grown-ups. After Dark is an adults-only after-hours event that includes access to three floors of exhibits, activities, refreshments, and fun for those 21+. Proceeds from our After Dark series support CMTM's Community Fund that supports CMTM's belonging and access work.
