Indigenous Peoples' Day 2025: What's open, what's closed, and what's happening in Maine

PORTLAND —Monday marks the seventh official Indigenous Peoples' Day in Maine.
To celebrate, several museums around the state partnered up with Maine's native tribes for events, art displays, and more:
The Children's Museum and Theatre of Maine hosted the Burnurwubskek Singers from the Penobscot Nation who will share music and stories with visitors. The event ran from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and was included with admission.
