Dinosaur Day(s) at CMTM

Dinosaur Day(s) at CMTM

It is time to stomp, tromp, and romp around the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine (CMTM) as we celebrate #Dinovember and all things prehistoric for Dinosaur Day(s), November 20 and 21, 2022!

At CMTM, we are big fans of dinosaurs! Understanding these ancient animals requires a bit of imagination, a healthy dose of scientific thinking, and a whole lot of wonder. Dinosaurs are often a developmental touchpoint for curiosity, inquiry, and creative play. Colin Marshall, Live Exhibits Coordinator with CMTM shared, "Dinosaurs are important because they were greater than us, and they are no longer here. They teach humility."

On Sunday, November 20 (General Admission) and Monday, November 21 (Members), families are invited to a day devoted to all things Dinosaurs! Visitors can expect a suite of dino-themed activities designed to delight young paleontologists that include crafts, games, and interactive exploration. Activities are scheduled throughout the day on all three floors of the Museum & Theatre and are Free With Admission.

Dinosaurs are important because they were greater than us, and they are no longer here. They teach humility.
— Colin Marshall, CMTM Live Exhibits Coordinator
