You are invited to the Dino Egg Hunt!

  • ADMISSION: $15 Member. $20 General Admission.

  • ATTENDANCE NOTES: Snacks and bag are included in the price of admission. All parking at Thompson's Point requires payment.

Get ready for the great Dino Egg Hunt! Reserve your tickets today – this event typically sells out! 

A Mama Dinosaur left her eggs throughout the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine, and we need help collecting them! 

Search for colorful dino eggs, and try your luck at the golden dino egg challenge. Explore dinosaur themed activities and have a tasty snack to finish out the celebration.

All dino egg hunters will receive a special DINO-TASTIC tote bag, courtesy of presenting sponsor HP Hood, for their eggs. Please leave other bags, buckets, or baskets at home. 

Visitors, please note Friday morning's Baby Dino Egg Hunt is designed with our youngest visitors in mind and does not include a Golden Egg Challenge. Saturday and Sunday are designed for ages 2-8 and include a Golden Egg Challenge. 

This special event is part of our membership and discount program “block-out” dates, so all visitors (including members) must purchase tickets for the egg hunt. 

All Access members can sign in to get their special event discounts when tickets are placed in their cart.

CMTM is open to the public from 11 am to 4 pm after the event.

DINO Egg hunters are welcome to stay to play until 11 am. After 11 am, regular admission tickets for the day are required. 

Reservations highly recommended; walk-in tickets subject to availability.

Play Your Way: Sensory-Friendly Dino Egg Hunt

Play Your Way is a monthly playtime for anyone who would benefit from a quieter, low-key play session at the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine (CMTM), designed for families affected by Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Down Syndrome, or other challenges. This month, we’re hosting a sensory-friendly egg hunt! 

A Mama Dinosaur left her eggs throughout the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine, and we need help collecting them!  Search for colorful dino eggs throughout the exhibits. Explore dinosaur themed activities and have a tasty snack to finish out the celebration.

Please note MOST eggs are stuffed with toys that are choking hazards and may not be recommended for ages three and under. 

All dino egg hunters will receive a special DINO-TASTIC tote bag, courtesy of presenting sponsor HP Hood, for their eggs and dinosaur art creations. Please leave other bags, buckets, or baskets at home.
